Global Ranking & Local Growth
The Tunisian Esports Federation has achieved 1st place in Africa and the Arab world, and 14th place globally with 1,675 points out of 144 countries, according to the official 2024 ranking by the International Esports Federation (IESF). The e-sports sector in Tunisia has witnessed significant growth in recent years, particularly in terms of local and international competitive tournaments, under the supervision of the Tunisian E-Sports Federation. Each sports season, the federation organizes 13 official championships across various disciplines, with the participation of 26 officially registered sports clubs. These championships are divided into several categories, including qualifying tournaments for Arab, African, and international championships.
International Participation & Achievements
In addition to the official national competitions, the federation also participates in various international championships such as the World Championship, the African Championship, and the Arab Championship. Among the most notable achievements in these competitions was winning the African Championship in the Counter-Strike 2 category, which took place in Morocco in August. The team also qualified for the World Championship finals, scheduled to be held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, in November 2024.
The women's teams participating in this championship earned silver medals in the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang and Counter-Strike 2 categories. These honorable results were achieved thanks to the combined efforts of all parties involved in overseeing the sector, including the Ministry of Youth and Sports, which contributed by dedicating a space at the federation’s headquarters for the training of the various national elite teams, equipped with the latest technology and optimal conditions.
Mental Preparation & Talent Discovery
Given that e-sports are fundamentally a mental discipline, the federation, in addition to implementing technical programs, is also developing and executing a mental preparation strategy for all national elite players under the supervision of specialized professionals, in order to achieve performance goals and honor the national flag.
These serve as a platform to select elite national athletes who represent Tunisia in international competitions. There are also official national championships held throughout the sports season, offering financial rewards to motivate players and clubs, while also serving to identify promising talents for integration into the national elite across different disciplines.
Youth Engagement & Community Outreach
In its mission to foster a thriving esports ecosystem, the Tunisian Esports Federation places a strong emphasis on youth engagement and community outreach. Through workshops, school partnerships, and youth tournaments, the federation introduces esports to younger generations in a structured and educational environment. These efforts aim not only to cultivate talent but also to raise awareness about digital literacy, teamwork, and responsible gaming among Tunisian youth
