TUNISIA SECURES 3RD PLACE IN THE 1ST WEEK OF THE NATIONS LEAGUE

The Tunisian National Team concluded its participation in Week 1 of the African qualifiers for the FIFAe Nations League, a qualifying event for the FIFAe World Cup, in the eFootball Mobile (2v2) category, by securing third place with a total of 170 points after an impressive campaign and strong performances throughout the competition.

The national team successfully qualified for the second round of the African Nations League qualifiers after a remarkable group-stage run, finishing top of the standings.

Thanks to these outstanding results, Tunisia finished the group stage in first place and secured qualification to the knockout stage with confidence.

Tunisia’s Knockout Stage Journey

In the Round of 16, Tunisia defeated Mauritius with an overall score of 2–0 after winning both matches (2–1) and (2–0), advancing comfortably to the quarterfinals.

In the quarterfinals, the Tunisian team continued its strong run by defeating Somalia with an overall score of 2–0 following a 1–0 victory in the first match and a 1–1 draw in the second.

In the semifinals, Tunisia faced Morocco in a highly competitive matchup that ended level on aggregate after both teams exchanged victories (1–0) and (0–1). A Golden Goal match was then played and ended 0–0 before Morocco eventually secured qualification through a 5–3 penalty shootout win.

Despite the semifinal exit, Tunisia finished Week 1 of the African qualifiers in third place overall, an important result that strengthens the team’s chances of qualifying for the FIFAe World Cup.

Week 2 Begins on June 8

The second week of the African qualifiers is set to begin on June 8, with Tunisia continuing its quest to accumulate more points and strengthen its path toward qualification for the FIFAe World Cup.
